Our Story

Tyler and Rachel here!

The dreamers and schemers of Kado Cuts.
Lovers of pizza, creativity, and all things that function well.

A tradition in our home is "Pizza Fridays". It's on these nights where we dream up dreams, brainstorm ideas, and scheme up shenanigans. One particular night, Tyler was cutting our pizzas and frustrated with how much effort and passes it took to cut them. He said, "There has got to be something better." Being the crafty, hands on people we are, we joked about just making one. Tyler headed straight to the shop, after many scrapped designs, it was time to start creating. He hand cut and filed the shape on some scrap metal, hand finished the handle, threw the old cutting wheel on to it and we tried it out. Some things stuck, some things needed to be reworked. After sharing with some friends and family, people were asking for cutters of their own!

Kado Cuts was born.

We machine our all aluminum frames in house. Using aluminum allows the cutters to be sturdy but still light weight. All handles are hand shaped and finished giving them each a unique and personalized feeling in your hands. We have sourced the best and sharpest commercial grade wheeled cutter we could find. They are 4 inch high carbon stainless steel.

In our cutters, you will find ease while cutting; no strenuous effort for clean and precise slices.

Kado Cuts isn't just about unique cutters. They are the storytellers. They are the centerpieces of your Pizza Night rituals. They are a part of the family. They are reliable heirlooms goods waiting patiently while you spend time swapping stories with friends and family. They are the timeless pieces that celebrate graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, new jobs, and everyday life. They are about creating conversations, connecting over delicious food, and spending time with those you truly care about most as these are truly the best ingredients for a filling life.
